“The Campaign for Better Biking” is team !ola’s proposal to highlight biking-related issues in humorous and unexpected ways. What do you think? Watch and rate the proposal here, and check out our part 1 of the campaign here. All feedback is welcome!

Bike Tab is a social game for cyclists. If you haven’t watched the video yet, check it out here. We would also like to hear how you would use the app. What would you challenge your friends to?  Let us know by filling out the form.

Thanks,

Urban Futurists

We want YOU to be part of our 2nd video pitch! We think bike pooling is a pretty good idea. It’s safe, fun and good for everyone involved. To get more people to bike pool to work, we’re going to shoot a short video of what it might be like to group ride to and from work. The final scene is a street bike party where we ride through the streets together. We’ll provide the music and a pool. Just bring your own bike.

Saturday 6pm. Meet at the foot of the Williamsburg Bridge on the Manhattan side.

If you can spend more time with us and help out with our shoot, we’re looking for people with bikes for our morning shoot starting at 9am. If you can help, please get in touch with us. team2@yoxi.tv

Thank you!

About YOXI

What is YOXI?

Right now, four teams of talented and skilled writers, strategists, designers, and storytellers are tackling social issues through creative problem solving. Issues like localizing food, improving education systems, and encouraging reusable packaging. Their job is to find or create and then sell a solution that best answers the YOXI brief. Ultimately, they must win your support. The winning team gets $5000 to donate to a charity of their choice that's related to the topic from the brief. Get involved by watching the teams' progress, contributing when they ask for your help and judging their work. The competition is intense - 3 pitches in 4 weeks - so, you don't want to miss a thing. This is bigger than a simple contest. We're building a movement. And we want you to be part of it.

What's the YOXI Pilot Program?

This is our test run, our beta phase, our proof that this wild idea could work. It's our chance to iron out all the kinks and, most importantly, our opportunity to learn from you. This pilot site is intentionally bare bones and our future official site will be very different. However, YOXI is currently working with GOOD Magazine, and our beta audience is largely comprised of their online community. So, this is no small test. There're a lot of people checking us out and diving into social innovation YOXI-style with you.

Can I play?

Of course you can. You can watch the videos. Read the team blogs. Deliver on their requests. Comment. Send feedback. And, please, rate the work! We are listening to you. More than that, we're playing along with you so we can all find a better, more meaningful and fun way to do good in this world.
